Find the best eSIM for Thailand

A plan such as 2 GB per day does not contain the same total data as a fixed 2 GB plan because its allowance resets. The comparison excludes 242 daily allowance variants that otherwise meet its data and validity bounds. They remain available in the tariff list but do not affect the fixed-data price table or its price-per-GB statistics.

A small package can have the lowest checkout price but a high cost for each gigabyte. A large package often has a lower price per GB but costs more in total. Estimate the data and validity you need first, then compare total prices within that group.

You do not need a separate city plan when the plan coverage explicitly includes Thailand. The same profile can connect in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Krabi and Koh Samui. Actual service still depends on the local partner network, your exact location, indoor conditions and your device.

A Thailand-only plan is the simplest comparison for one-country travel. A regional plan can reduce the number of profiles needed for a multi-country itinerary, but regional does not always mean Asia-only. Check every country in its coverage list and compare its total price with separate local plans.

Travel eSIM providers may list AIS, True or dtac as the local partner. True and dtac completed their corporate amalgamation in March 2023, but plan labels and partner details can still differ. Check the exact plan terms because the catalogue does not infer an unlisted network.

Only when the plan, partner network, phone and location all support 5G. AIS and True report 5G availability across all 77 Thai provinces, but that does not guarantee service inside every building or at every island location. If a plan card has no 5G label, its status is unknown rather than unavailable.

Many travel eSIM plans are data-only. A Thai phone number, cellular calls or SMS are included only when the exact plan says so. WhatsApp, FaceTime and other internet calling services can use mobile data without changing the number registered in the app.

You can often install the profile before departure, but the validity clock may start at purchase, installation or first connection in Thailand depending on the provider. Read the activation rule for the exact plan before scanning its QR code.

The price snapshot uses active fixed-data plans with no more than 50 GB and at least 3 days of validity. Price per GB equals the total USD price divided by the fixed included data. Unlimited and daily allowance plans are excluded because their data does not have the same fixed denominator. The figures rebuild after tariff imports, and the cached page can take up to one hour to show a completed update.
